Why only old messages have been imported

This happens if you're extracting from an old iTunes backup, as WazzapMigrator does not skip messages. In order to get the whole set of messages, including the newest ones:

1. perform a new iTunes backup
2. extract messages.db again
3. use WazzapMigrator with the new messages.db then reinstall WhatsApp
